Another Mark Graham visualization, this one of geotagged articles in Portuguese and Czech wikipedias. Striking concentration on Brazil and Portugal in the Lusophone one, and very little attention on Lusaphone Africa

Mark Graham looks at geotagged Wikipedia articles to make the case that the Global South is badly underrepresented and that Africa, as a whole, has very little attention from the Wikipedia community. There are flaws in using geotagged articles as a proxy for Wikipedia coverage – which he acknowledges – but his findings are striking.

Great collection of data sets – lots of good econ data – and tools for analysis and visualization.
