Useful post by Cory on internet “immune systems” – the automated tools sysadmins and others put in place to try to combat span, abuse and other behaviors… and which tend to overreact and make our lives miserable.
I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you’d weigh in on my OLPC idea. Sadly, I haven’t gotten a whisper of response from any of the folks over there I sent it to – and things I hear from other friends with ties to the project suggest that I’m not going to.
I really wonder why the idea seems to be of so little interest to them. It strikes me as kind of a gimme, you know?
