Joining the Berkman Center has done wonders for my career. Instead of being the director of a struggling nonprofit organization, overnight I found myself a “Harvard researcher”, a title that gets me into the VIP section at hot nightclubs and tables at the best Boston restaurants. Now, according to the BBC, I’ve evidently been awarded a doctorate, a huge shock to me, as I barely finished my BA.
Oh well, if the BBC (and my good friend Clark Boyd) are going to make a factual error about me or Global Voices, they could do worse than to give me the academic pedigree I lack. My mom will be so proud. And confused.
